FBISE Document Verification Process

Verified stamp on envelop

Verification of Educational Documents was a hectic and lengthy process a few years ago when you had to fill the forms manually and submit them at the relevant board’s office by yourself. But now you can apply online and get your documents verified.

Although some boards still use old procedures, the Federal Board Islamabad is doing its best by providing Online Services.

After the declaration of the results, it is mandatory to have your documents verified by the relevant board to apply for higher studies at a university in Pakistan, some universities also require NOC as well for new admissions. Similarly, if you intend to apply for a study visa abroad, your documents must be verified. This verification is also required if you are processing an immigration application, as educational documents need to be attested in either case.

Verification Process:

The process is very simple. First, keep in mind that the Federal Board or any other board never verifies an original document i.e. (Certificate/Marksheet) so never send or hand over your original documents to anyone.

The board always verifies a copy of your Certificate/Marksheet with a stamp and seal. Now it has been changed to a system-generated verified copy as far as FBISE is concerned, other boards may have the old system of stamping. If you are visiting the FBISE Office physically you can follow below mentioned procedure to get verification of documents easily:

FBISE Online Services New Portal

FBISE Online Services New Portal

Federal Board has introduced a new portal for online services where you can submit your application online. All you need is to fill out a verification of documents form online at FBISE’s new online portal and fill out all the necessary fields, especially your contact number and Email address. Federal Board now provides a verified copy of your document in PDF format through Email. No hard copy will be sent to your home address.

Go to fbise official website and click on ‘Online Services’ then click on the document verification tab.

After filling out the application form, then generate a fee challan.

The fee for the verification of the Marksheet/Certificate is Rs. 1000/- for each document for Pakistani students and $40 for each document for students who studied from abroad. In case of applying from Pakistan, you can pay the verification fee in Pakistani Rupees equivalent to the current Dollar rate.

After paying the fee through Online apps or manually in the bank, you just need to put the fee challan number in the verification portal and click on the Submit button, FBISE will verify that fee challan number from the bank and send you a verified copy through Email.

Remember FBISE has stopped sending hard copies of verified documents, they only provide a PDF through email which creates problems for students as Colleges and universities do not accept simple print, they ask students to provide original verification which can only be obtained from FBISE Office in person. (This is very bad practice from FBISE which is creating a lot of problems for students living away from Islamabad like Karachi, Quetta, Lahore, and outside of the country as well.)

Self-Service Machine (KIOSK)

Recently, the Federal Board has introduced Self-Service Machines at the FBISE Office and IBCC Office Islamabad to enhance the convenience of the general public.

Now, you can obtain your Verified Document, Migration Certificate, and Fee Challan effortlessly, eliminating the need to wait in queues.

Simply start by submitting the fee challan, then proceed to fill out the verification or migration form, whichever is required, and submit it. Your required document will be generated instantly.

But in case you want to apply online from your home or from other cities you have to follow the procedure mentioned below:

IBCC Attestation:

Inter Board Coordination Commission is the organization authorized by the Federal Government of Pakistan to attest educational documents issued by the boards across Pakistan. Their Head office is situated at Street No 39, G-10/4, Islamabad. They had regional offices in all the provinces of Pakistan as well.

After verification, the relevant board will hand over a verified copy to submit at the IBCC office for Attestation purposes. Now you need your original documents which you have to submit at the IBCC office. IBCC will “Attest” your original documents with a seal and stamp on the back side of the certificate/mark sheet.
