IBCC Introduction and Working

IBCC stands for the Inter Board Coordination Commission, formerly known as the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen.

IBCC was established in 1972 to coordinate the activities between boards, set standards for curriculum, and improve the quality of examinations across the boards in Pakistan. It is an organization working under the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, which evaluates the examination system across the educational boards in Pakistan. Additionally, it authenticates, attests, and issues equivalency certificates for O & A levels of Cambridge and Shahadat-ul-Saanviat-ul-Aama, and Shahadat-ul-Saanviat-ul-Khasa of Deeni Madrassahs.

What is the Purpose of IBCC?

The Inter Board Coordination Commission was primarily established to provide coordination between educational boards, as they implement different syllabi, schemes of studies, and paper patterns. Attestation, authentication, and equivalency services were introduced later and it’s mandatory for every student who studied from any educational/technical board of Pakistan to attest his/her documents from IBCC if he wants to pursue higher education or want to study abroad.

IBCC has its main headquarters in Islamabad and, regional offices across Pakistan in every province.

The complete process of attestation of educational documents step-by-step guide is very helpful if you are going through verification and attestation procedures.
