Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Rawalpindi is an autonomous body working under the Government of Punjab, which conducts exams at SSC (Matric) and HSSC (Intermediate) levels in Rawalpindi Division. Areas under the jurisdiction of BISE Rawalpindi are Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Murree, Talagang, and Gujar Khan.
An estimated 200,000 to 250,000 students from govt and private schools appear annually in the SSC and HSSC exams of BISE Rawalpindi.
History of BISE Rawalpindi
Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi was established in 1977. BISE Rawalpindi office relocated to Morgah Road, near Attock Oil Refinery, Morgah, Rawalpindi in 2013 after the construction of the new building. Before that board offices were located at different locations on 6th Road, Rawalpindi. Currently, Adnan Khan is serving as chairman of BISE Rawalpindi for a period of 03 years.
