The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Abbottabad was established in 1990 by the act of NWFP Education Act. Before the establishment of BISE Abbottabad the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar was responsible for conducting examinations in this region, later on, the Abbottabad Board emerged from BISE Peshawar.

BISE Abbottabad Result
The Board conducts the annual examination of Matric and Intermediate in March-April and Result is announced in August. The exams were conducted within a gap of almost one month, the same is the case with the results of both classes.

BISE Abbottabad Examination
The board conducts examinations of Matric and intermediate under the supervision of the Controller of Examination. The exams are conducted in institutions across the Abbottabad division with the help of supervisory staff which consists of teachers and other staff from the schools and colleges affiliated with the board.
